Empowering workshop for G.C.E A/L students 2016 & 2017 Mannar and Madhu Zones
Aaruthal in collaboration with the Thondamanru Field Work Centre organized an Empowerment Seminar for the students of Mannar and Madhu Zones considering the needs of the children who are going to sit for the G.C.E. A/L -examination in 2016 & 2017. The Field Work Centre helped to arrange the resource persons who are experts in Combined Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry to conduct the seminar and to agree to meet the expenses.
The seminar was conducted on 30th & 31st of January at Mn/St.Xavier’s Boys’ College, Mannar. The empowerment programme helped students to engage them further in learning. This programme would help the students to write good answers at the examination and make them free from stress. The purpose of education is to provide children with the knowledge and skills to face the public examination with self confidently.
The workshop was arranged by the Assistant Director of Education, Science and Coordinator of Aaruthal Mr.Para Kajenthiran. 228 students from eleven schools participated in the workshop.
The inaugural session was chaired by Zonal Director of Education Mrs. S. S. Sebastian. Treasurer for the Thondamanaru Field Work Centre Mr.N.Ulaganathan, Lecturers for the workshop Mr.A. Thayaparan, Miss. Kala Namasivayam, Mr.T.Kirupakaran and Mr.S.Sivaram graced the occasion with their presence at the session
Zonal Director of Education, Mannar welcomed all and mentioned about the activities implemented by Aaruthal specially the learning stimulations distributed by Aaruthal facilitated the children to face the Public Examinations with confidence. She pointed out the better performances in the public Examinations better than the previous years.
