Empowerment Workshop for G.C.E A/L Students in the Hill Country
Aaruthal in collaboration with the Thondamaru Field Work Centre organized an Empowerment Seminar for the students who are going to sit for the G.C.E. A/L -2016 in Hatton and Nuwara Eliya, The Field Work Centre helped to arrange the resource persons who are experts in Combined Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry to conduct the seminar and to agree to meet the expenses.
The residential workshop was conducted at National College of Education, Sripada on 20th & 21st & 22nd at National College of Education, Sripada. The empowerment programme helped students to engage them further in learning. This programme would help the students to write good answers at the examination and make them free from stress. The purpose of education is to provide children with the knowledge and skills to face the public examination with self confidently.
The workshop was arranged by the Lecturer, NCoE and Coordinator of Aaruthal for Hill CountryMr.Antony Mathew. 225 Students from 12 schools participated in the workshop. The inaugural session was presided over by Mr.Sundaralingam, President, NCoE, Sripada. Hon. State Minister of Education, Mr.V.Radhakrishnan was the Chief Guest to adorn the inaugural session. Consultant and Vice president for the Thondamanaru Field Work Centre Mr.Anantharaj, Treasurer, FWC, Mr.Ulaganathan, Lecturers for the workshop Mr. Kuganathan, Miss. Kala Namasivayam, Mr.Kirupakaran and Mr.Sivaram, Parliamentarians, Training College Lecturers, Directors of Education, Zonal Directors of Education, Assistant Directors of Education, Representatives of International , Organizations, Principals and Teachers graced the occasion with their presence at the session.
