Seminar for Empowering Students of G.C.E –A/L -2015 – Hatton & Thalavakkola
The workshop for empowering the G.C.E. A/L Students -2015 was conducted on 27th & 28th at N/Hatton Highland Central College and 29th & 30th at N/Thalawakkola Tamil Maha Vidyalayam. The empowerment programme helps students to engage them further in learning. This programme would help the students to write good answers at the examination and to make them free from stress. The purpose of education is to provide children with the knowledge and skills.
Mr.Antony Mathew, Lecturer, College of Education Sripada organized the workshop in two centres. The resource Persons Mr. N.Ulaganathan Treasurer, FWC, Mr. A.Rubanathan, J/Kokuvil Hindu College, Mr.S.Sivaram J/Kokuvil Hindu College, Mr.R.Kugananthan J/Mahajana College ,Miss.N.Kala J/Jaffna Hindu Ladies’ College, Officers of Aaruthal Mr.Aanantharaj, Research Manager, Mr.Raveendran, Consultant, Mr.A.Ramesh, Senior Project Officer and Mr.Para Kajenthiran , Senior Project Officer participated at the inaugural session.
One hundred and thirty eight (138) students in Venue -1; N/Hatton Highlands Central College centre and seventy one ( 71) student from Venue -2; N/Thalavakkola Tamil Maha Vidyalayam were the beneficiaries of the workshop
Hon. State Minister of Education V.Radhakrishnan visited both the venues on and addressed the students. Minister pointed out the importance of studying Science stream to find good employment opportunities in the future.
Hon. Minister conveyed his sincere thanks to the Chief Executive Officer Aaruthal and the Field Work Centre for their enthusiastic effort that has been made to create a bridge in education with the hill country. Definitely, it will be productive
